I would strongly advise everyone to stay away from anything that involves "network Marketing" aka "multi-level marketing" aka "pyramid schemes". They always seem to target disability populations assuming that we are "vulnerable" to schemes and I wonder if the companies that train all the "network marketers" actually give them a list of potentially easy-to-persuade populations? I wouldn't put it past them -

Andy you'd really have to have been born yesterday to allow someone to put what amounts to permission-based spyware on your computer - they are gathering valuable informaiton about your shopping / internet surfing habits that they can EASILY sell for big bucks to other companies (it probably says that in the fine print if anyone bothers to read it) - STAY AWAY form "opportunities" like these!!

Pyramid schemes are illegal!  As a matter of fact, network marketing is a legal business model and a great way to create a substantial income working part time from the comfort and convenience of home!  Wouldn't you rather have 1% of the efforts of 100 people vs 100% of your own?  If you truly have a negative outlook on NM you really should take a look at this website.  Go to EconomicPower.com  It is the only business that I am aware of that will allow you to make enough money in less than 5 years to retire!
The only way to predict the future is to CREATE IT!

Yes pyramid schemes are illegal - the problem is that there is a FINE LINE between pyramid schemes and "network marketing" and many companies cross that line; and the average person does not have the resources to research each company to determine which ones may be legitimate so it's best to avoid them entirely. Even with multi-level marketing oops I meant network marketing companies that are allegedly legitimate, the one percent you are refering to is in reality the percentage of people who actually are successful. The remaining 99% just throw their money away deluded into thinking they can make it big as well. For those of us who live in reality (and make good money without selling overpriced products and continuously harassing our friends and family) the choice is easy - for those who are easily swayed into get rich quick schemes - check out these links.

What about known brands like Tupperware, Playskool, Avon, Amway?
Are those organizations legit?

Some of them push people pretty hard to sign up.

Independent, unsalaried salespeople of multi-level marketing, referred to as distributors (or associates, independent business owners, dealers, franchise owners, sales consultants, consultants, independent agents, etc.), represent the company that produces the products or provides the services they sell. They are awarded a commission based upon the volume of product sold through their own sales efforts as well as that of their downline organization.

Independent distributors develop their organizations by either building an active customer base, who buy direct from the company, or by recruiting a downline of independent distributors who also build a customer base, thereby expanding the overall organization. Additionally, distributors can also earn a profit by retailing products they purchased from the company at wholesale price.

This arrangement of distributors earning a commission based on the sales of their independent efforts as well as the leveraged sales efforts of their downline is similar to franchise arrangements where royalties are paid from the sales of individual franchise operations to the franchiser as well as to an area or regional manager. Commissions are paid to multi-level marketing distributors according to the company’s compensation plan. There can be individuals at multiple levels of the structure receiving royalties from a single person's sales.

By taking a leap of faith, you have decided that article marketing will be part of your overall marketing strategy for promoting your MLM business. However, writing articles for the network marketing industry has you stumped! Getting started is difficult but you know it is critical to write article copy based on the audience you are trying to reach. Learning how to develop content for the market in your niche field is the key for your success. Here are some things to think about when developing articles for the network marketing industry that can jump start your marketing campaigns.

1. Recognize what abilities you have. If you just graduated from college with a degree in English, you may or may not need help writing coherent, focused copy. However, if your last written story was in Mrs. Lulu's 6th grade class in 1970, perhaps you should find someone who can go over your articles to make sure your writing fits the criteria for professional prose.

2. Brainstorm ideas based on topics which may interest you and your reader audience. If you just read the book, "Leaving Effective Voicemail Messages," perhaps you can come up with 5 topics in a series to write on. Most serious network marketers are diligent about their craft and don't have time to read how to fix a toilet or bake a pie. Such articles have a place but at the moment, developing consistent, quality content for your audience is the focus.

3. Find time to write at the same time every single day. Get into the habit of structuring your time for writing just like you would for anything else of importance in your life. If you need quiet time, cut the phone off and write. Interruptions will only hurt your efforts in the long run so keep them to a minimum.

4. Write about topics you know. Reading, audio and webinar sources provide excellent information for the network marketer. Each time you sit to listen to an audio or webinar, take extensive notes so you will have another article topic to write about.

5. Properly research your material. Look for authority resources in the field you are writing about. If the topic you are writing about is "How To Recruit 10 People A Month," an authority would be someone in your up line who recruits consistently. If possible, go straight to the horses mouth but if not, find an authority in books or audio.

6. Get in the habit of reading good quality content. If you enjoy reading newspapers and magazines, study the writings of several authors you look up to. Study their material closely and figure out what brings their writing to the forefront. Writing is a craft that must be learned. With steady, consistent reading and studying of quality content, you will become a master wordsmith.

I ran across your question and clicked on it, and found a bunch of people lining up to recruit you into their specific opportunities. There are some good opportunities out there, but there are certain criteria you should look for to get the most out of your efforts.

#1 It should be affordable. You can make a million dollars off of a free opportunity just as much as you could off of an expensive opportunity. #2 If you did chose an opportunity that cost some money, you should be able to break even on the 1st signup/sale or the 1st few sales/signups. You should not have to exhaust yourself just to break even. #3 It should be easy to sell. It should be a no brainer. Once presented, it should appeal to the common sense of the prospect.

#4 If all these criteria are met, you should have no problem getting people to sign on with you. You should thus have a very high retention ratio. If people are staying in your business, that means they are experiencing similar success as you the upline. If not, normally within 3 months they will drop out and they will no longer appear in your downline. No one wants this, so you have to 1st of all be wise in what opportunity you choose in the 1st place. Take a look at www.mlmwatchdog.com to check out a list of companies and get the scoop.

I am involved in a program that meets all these criteria. It's free and it never costs.

Have you heard of the latest RMP products? Have you been one of those who have purchased one or two of these innovative products? If you are familiar with RMP Infotec Private Limited, then chances are you are aware that not only are they a well established MLM company but also one which sells high quality products such as vacuum cleaners, solar lamps, laptops, watches, suits and many more. If you have loved their products and the quality each one has, then you can brace yourself for better news: you can now purchase RMP MLM products directly from the AWP kiosks located all over India.
